Born in the Republic of Panama, August 31st, 1972. Education: Saint Joseph’s University, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Bachelor degree in Science (Finance and Economics, 1993, Cum Laude) and Tulane Law School, New Orleans, Louisiana (Juris Doctor, 1996, Cum Laude), and Maritime Certificate (1996).
Experience
Admitted to the Panamanian Bar, 1997; Louisiana State Bar, U.S.A., 1996 (including the Federal Courts of the Eastern District of Louisiana). Summer Clerkships: Gordon, Arata, McCollam & Duplantis, 1994; Exxon Company, U.S.A., Law Department, 1995. Vice-President of the Panamanian Association of Law and New Technologies. He is one of the labor arbitrators for the Panama Canal Authority, and a former Professor in the L.L.M. Programs of the USMA School of Law (The Catholic University of Panama), teaching subjects such as Contemporary Corporate Problems (Electronic and Telecommunications Commerce) and Maritime Law. In addition, he is one of the members of the commission established by the government in charge of amending the maritime related provisions of the Commercial Code of Panama.
