In the last few years, the Panamanian Government has been approving a series of regulations relating to economic competition matters, regulated public services and protection to users and consumers. These legal provisions have empowered different regulatory entities such as the Free Competition and Consumer Affairs Commission, the Public Services Regulatory Entity, and the Bank Superintendence, to exercise a level of control on the development of certain administrative proceedings.
ICAZA, GONZALEZ-RUIZ & ALEMAN has a team of expert lawyers who are specialized in dealing with current regulations applicable to the aforesaid free competition and consumer protection matters. We have acted for complainants and respondents.
