Studied law at the University Santa María La Antigua, Panama (Bachelor of Law and Political Sciences, 1984), Thesis:  "Loss of the Nationality of the Vessel and its Effects on Naval Credit Securities". Duke University Law School, North Carolina, U.S.A. (LL.M., 1985).

Admitted to Bar, 1984, Republic of Panama.  

Was Director of Capital Leasing Inc. and is Alternate Director of Global Bank Corporation.
