Recently, Panama hosted the International Arbitration Congress: 40 years of the Panama Convention: “Influence on International Commercial Arbitration Development in America”. In said event participated distinguished speakers from Argentina, Spain, United States, Colombia, El Salvador, Costa Rica, Mexico, Peru, Chile and Panama.

The main subject of said event was the Panama Convention and Arbitration in America and the outstanding elements. Likewise, a comparison between the Conventions of Panama and New York was made, the impact of the Convention of the region and the Latin-American arbitration challenges in the 40 years after the application of the Panama Convention in the countries worldwide, among others.
